A new BBQ joint is open
Several months ago, Stan's, a ma & pa sandwich shop near work closed. A short time later a sign went up for The Texas BBQ Company - and I've waited for months for it to open. Well, it opened this Wednesday and Friday night I stopped in for dinner. It is a small joint - they obviously completely gutted the place and redid it, and did a good job. The staff were really friendly and the service was good - and, most importantly, the food was good too. I got a three meat combo with beef brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. All three were very nicely cooked, and very tasty. They're a dry rub, the style is reportedly 'Texas Hill Country", style place. It is a family place, run by real Texans. :-) Give them your support if you like BBQ. (Obviously my veggie friends might not be so excited. ;-) )They're right on Main Street (Rt.20) in Northborough, MA.
They don't have a website up yet - the takeout menu says www.texasbbqco.com
but it is a placeholder right now. I'll have to ask about that next time I go in. :-) I will definitely be going back there. It is nice having a good BBQ place close to work, which is open for lunch too. Current Mood: relaxed
